As organizations grow and decline, they take along the communities that form inside and out. Once considered a “nice to do”, today’s firms are realizing that customers, prospective candidates, and even certain shareholder groups expect them to internalize the values of corporate responsibility and citizenship with respect to the environment and the communities they impact.
This fall, Lisa is a guest lecturer at Clark University and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy on how leaders can create change for companies interested in furthering their corporate responsibility strategies.
Lisa’s research on corporate responsibility led her to contribute a chapter to the book, Emerging Trends in Management Consulting, on Human Resources’ role. The chapter calls for a new core competency for Human Resources professionals to be effective strategic partners in their firm’s corporate responsibility approach.
